Joe Wengert has been a regular performer at the UCB Theater since 2003. Currently he can be seen improvising every Monday night with UCB-LA house team, The Smokes. Other UCB-LA credits include Sketch Cram, CDR Sketch, and ASSSSCAT. Before moving to LA in 2009, Joe was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company and performed every Saturday night at UCB-NY with house team Reuben Williams. Joe has performed in or written for a number of improv and sketch shows including Krompf: The Ol' Factory, Sketch and Awe, Your Favorite Thing, GameFace, Instant Cinema, and Dillinger.

Joe has appeared on VH1 and in national commercials for H & R Block, McDonalds, and Mr. Clean. He spent a year and a half as a writer for the Onion News Network. Lately he has been doing stand up at every open mic in Los Angeles that he can get his grubby hands on.

Joe teaches improv for the UCB Training Center, where he also works as the Academic Supervisor.
